My work is an exploration of colour and the relationship between shapes and space. Compositions are driven by my curiosity of the effects of space and what lies within it. The illusion of three dimensions comes from the interplay between shapes and the contrast of the dark negative space. Tapping into my background in graphic design and lessons learned about positive space and negative space, my work has evolved into a minimalistic aesthetic with bold interactions of shape, colour and contrast. Texture is provided by purposeful brush strokes, moving the eye around the canvas.
